These symptoms often last for weeks or even months. Depression can be mild, moderate, or severe, and in some cases, it may last for years. It’s important to take depression seriously. Stress literally means “tension” or “pressure.” There’s a difference between healthy stress, like before an exciting event, and unhealthy stress that lasts for a longer time. Stress symptoms can show up in your body, mind, behavior, or thoughts. Think of a rapid heartbeat, increased breathing, irritability, restlessness, trouble concentrating or sleeping, and turning to things like alcohol, drugs, or food. Lotte is a face-to-face and online psychologist at iPractice. She will support you as you apply the things you have explored during your treatment sessions to your daily life. Lotte will be there to discuss any issues you may encounter but her treatment process also includes acknowledging your talents and strengths. Lotte believes that normalising symptoms – in other words, realising that, to some extent, we are all struggling with emotions, negative thoughts and anxiety – can offer relief and connect people with each other. Lotte offers treatment in both Dutch and English.

Lotte studied Clinical Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. She graduated from the Amsterdam UMC Early Psychosis Clinic.
