Common treatments

Our psychologists in Nijmegen utilize various treatment methods, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Imagination and Rescripting. Annelieke van Zelst-Achterberg has extensive experience treating symptoms such as anxiety, burnout, and negative self-image. ACT is particularly effective for addressing anxiety and burnout.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

During ACT, you develop resilience and learn to better cope with setbacks. There is no fixed treatment protocol in ACT; instead, the treatment is tailored to your specific needs. The psychologist will ask questions to understand your problems, identify where you are feeling stuck, and determine your goals for the future.
