Kitman uses techniques from CBT, ACT and Positive Psychology. Additionally, she is interested in working holistically. She speaks Dutch and English.

Kitman received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her master’s degree in clinical psychology from the VU University Amsterdam. After graduating, she worked at the Dutch centre of expertise in suicide prevention.
