Roxanna Fortman
Roxanna is a licensed Healthcare Psychologist (GZ-psycholoog) at iPractice. She is dedicated to helping you move forward again toward the things that truly matter to you. In the therapy room, she fosters an open atmosphere and provides a safe haven—but one where active work takes place.
Her approach is experiential: using practical exercises and metaphors both during sessions and at home, concrete steps are taken. In her interactions, she is direct and addresses what she observes in the room. Confrontational when necessary, but always with a warm heart. Together, you will look for ways to get back on track, break through persistent patterns, and learn to handle difficult thoughts and emotions differently. This creates room for what is important to you, allowing you to regain belief in your own strength.
After graduating in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, she gained broad experience in both regular mental healthcare (GGZ) and medical rehabilitation (neuro- and cardiac rehabilitation). She is highly experienced in guiding clients through grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, she has a strong affinity for enhancing resilience and acceptance following major life events. In her treatments, she primarily utilizes ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
