Nina Kunnen
Creating an open and safe environment is central to my work — a place where you feel free to explore your needs and where there is space for honesty, trust, and growth.
I work from an empathetic, positive, and engaged perspective, with your strengths and potential as the starting point. Together, we explore what you need and work toward appropriate solutions and skills that foster development and resilience.
My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Humanistic Studies from the University of Humanistic Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utrecht University. I subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Groningen. During my clinical internship in specialized mental health care (GGZ), within the VIP Team Drenthe, I gained experience in both assessment and treatment. I primarily worked with individuals experiencing psychotic disorders, as well as clients with depressive and anxiety-related difficulties.
My particular interest lies in the functioning of the human brain and how it relates to our emotions, thoughts, and behavior.
