Lizzy has been working as an online psychologist at iPractice since March 2026. She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Amsterdam. During her internship at Mentrum, she worked with clients experiencing severe and complex psychiatric difficulties within specialized mental health care. In addition, she broadened her knowledge through a bridging programme in Work and Organizational Psychology, an international study exchange in Holistic Health in San Francisco, and specialized courses in Medical Psychology.

Lizzy believes it is important to create a safe and trusting environment where clients feel heard, understood, and seen. With her warm, open, and empathic approach, she has genuine attention for the person behind the symptoms. Driven by curiosity about each person’s story, she works together with clients to explore what is truly going on, while adapting to their individual needs and pace without judgment. She finds great meaning in having in-depth conversations and exploring the underlying patterns that contribute to difficulties, creating space for new insights and meaningful change.

Her particular interests include trauma-related difficulties, stress and burnout, relationship issues, and self-esteem concerns. She also has a strong interest in the connection between mind and body and the impact that significant life experiences can have on everyday functioning

“The answers we seek often already exist within us. Change begins when we stop fighting what hurts and become curious about what it is trying to tell us.”
