Gesine works as psychologist at iPractice. In the sessions, together you will set goals and analyze why you developed certain complaints. She wants to support you in overcoming unhelpful behavioral and thought patterns so that you can reach these goals. She values an open, empathetic environment where there is also room for humor.
Gesine is a trained Cognitive Behavioral therapist (Cognitief Gedragstherapeut VGCt®). Next to that, she is trained in evidence-based techniques like EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Gesine speaks Dutch, English and German.
Gesine graduated in Clinical Psychology at the University of Groningen. After graduating, she gained several years of experience with a broad range of mental problems, such as anxiety disorders, PTSD, depression and burn-out. She also worked at a center of expertise for obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD).
