Anne-Floor Dechering
I work as an online psychologist at iPractice, where collaboration and positive reinforcement are central to my approach. I find it important to create a warm and motivating environment in which clients truly feel seen. For me, this means:
– Making space for what someone is already doing well, no matter how small, because growth often begins with recognizing existing strengths.
– Exploring together what works, rather than prescribing what ‘should’ be done. I strongly believe in equality within the therapeutic relationship.
– Matching the client’s pace, because sustainable change can never be forced.
As an online psychologist, I also find it important to keep digital care personal.
Educational background:
I completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Groningen (RUG), followed by a master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology, also at the RUG. I completed my internship in the Department of Medical Psychology at Isala Hospital in Zwolle. The experience I gained includes working with cognitive complaints, anxiety, trauma, and mood-related difficulties.
