Alice-Joy Gimpel

Online Psychologist
iPractice Amsterdam
100% online therapy

Alice has been working as an online psychologist at iPractice since March 2026. She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Amsterdam and completed her clinical internship at the Outpatient Clinic for Sexology & Psychosomatic Gynecology at Amsterdam UMC. There, she gained valuable experience in effectively treating issues related to sexuality, relationships, and physical complaints. During her studies, she became involved in academic research focused on grief processing and wrote her master’s thesis on the differences between cognitive therapy and behavioral therapy in the treatment of sleep problems. She is passionate about the mind-body connection and enjoys using a combination of CBT, body-oriented techniques, ACT, and mindfulness.

Alice creates an atmosphere of openness and curiosity in her sessions. She is passionate about sensitive topics such as sexuality, relationships, grief, and trauma, and is keen to make them open for discussion. By addressing these topics in a straightforward and grounded way, she aims to create more space for acceptance. With her creative and humorous perspective, she is well able to adapt to her clients during treatment and help them develop new patterns of thinking and behavior.

At iPractice, you’ll have personal conversations and active support between sessions. That’s how we create lasting change, together.
