Does your health plan fully reimburse treatment at iPractice?
We send our invoices directly to your insurer. They pay for our services. Your insurer will apply the legally set deductible.
Uncontracted care
We don’t have a contract with Zilveren Kruis or one of their associated labels (FBTO, Interpolis, De Friesland, De Christelijke Zorgverzekeraar, ZieZo). This is called uncontracted care.
In case of uncontracted care, we are unfortunately unable to send our invoices directly to your insurer. Instead, we send out invoices to you. Not all costs of treatment are covered which means that ±30% of costs are not reimbursed by your insurer and paid for by yourself. This is called your co-payment. Please look into you healthplan to assess what percentage applies to you.
My treatment is not fully reimbursed: how does this work?
When insured with an insurer with whom we don’t have a contract, we are unable to send invoices directly to your insurer.
We send our invoices to you. Please look into estimated costs of treatment at iPractice. Our communication is through email. Have not received an invoice in your email? Check your spam folder or contact financialquestions@ipractice.nl to validate your email address.
You pay us and claim your reimbursement from your insurer
Our invoices are sent monthly, and consist of all consultations from the past month (online and at our locations). You pay us and claim your reimbursement from your insurer. Are you insured at Zilveren Kruis? You can submit your claim online.
Your insurer will pay the amount corrected for your co-payment.
When submitting your claim in a timely manner, you are able to receive your reimbursement around the same time you pay us for our services.
Are these monthly costs fixed or flexible?
We only charge our services that have actually taken place. Since the number of contacts can vary throughout the months, costs can also vary. Monthly costs are thus dependent on the number of interactions with our psychologists. Our psychologists will always speak to you about the number of interactions that they feel are appropriate for you.
Example
In a certain month two consultations room sessions and four online contacts have taken place. Your invoices shows ±€550. Approximately 70% of this amount is reimbursed by your insurer. Your co-payment for this month is approximately €160. On average fewer sessions have taken place in a month (due to holidays etc) leading to an average co-payment of €125 per month.
Can I ask for a payment plan?
Yes this is possible. Please contact us at financialquestions@ipractice.nl. We only answer questions on payment plans once you have started your treatment.
Deductible
In the Netherlands all parties are legally bound to a deductible. Your insurer applies an annual deductible of at least €385 for all care consumed in a calendar year.
